Experience
I bring three decades of experience in field inspections, welding, non-destructive
inspection, and training/testing of the people who make a Quality Program
successful. My field and shop experience ranges from industrial structures,
equipment, and piping to small businesses. Industrial structures are primarily
comprised of bridges and facilities such as pulp and paper, utility, nuclear,
fabrication, and manufacturing. Certifications such as my CWI license held
since 1989 and my National Board Commission held since 1974, along with
other licenses, enable me to provide you with an effective welding consultant
and inspector.

Philosophy
In an effort to make every job a success, I show welders and fitters representations
of the actual situations they will encounter once they hit the job site.
These could include pipe welding or welding repairs. My welder training
essentially eliminates the "learning curve" by sharing experience-based
foresight and providing appropriate planning. The main reason for doing
this is to cut down on rework, which is more difficult than new work and
costs
8-10 times the original costs due to many unseen factors.
This underlying principle inspires Downeast Welding Consultants
and Inspections to consistently deliver quality work the first
time. We feel everyone deserves the peace of mind that is obtained
from knowing that a qualified representative has your best interests
at heart.
